Electrohydraulic systems make up most systems in an off-road construction and mining equipment. Track-type machines (excavators, dozers, skid-steers) use electrohydraulic systems for tracks and implement motion functions. Tracks are powered by hydrostatic power transmission drives which are made of pairs of hydraulic motor and pumps plus various valves. Implement system motion is powered by pump-valve-cylinder combinations using various types of hydraulic circuit designs, load-sensing type being the most widely used type.
